The "Digital Office" offers Austrians the convenience of handling official matters online and provides information about public administration in specific life situations. With the digital office services, you can now save yourself the trip to the office.

- Digital mailbox for official correspondence
- Secure management of personal data

How to use oesterreich.gv.at:
1. Download the "Digital Office" app for free.
2. Sign in using your ID Austria. If you don't have an ID Austria yet, follow the instructions within the app.
3. After successful login with your ID Austria, you can enjoy all the advantages of the "Digital Office" without limitations.

ID Austria is the evolution of Handy-Signatur. If you don't have an ID Austria yet, you can still log in with your Handy-Signatur. You will be guided through the necessary steps to switch your Handy-Signatur to an ID Austria within the app.

Important features:
- Easily find online information about administrative services and public administration.
- Utilize cross-platform search (including RIS - Legal Information System, Data.gv.at, USP - Business Service Portal) for all administrative matters.
- Conveniently handle selected official procedures online (e.g., application for postal voting, change of residence registration, digital baby point).
- Stay up to date with news about digitalization.
- Interact with a chatbot for any inquiries.
- Create a personalized profile and benefit from tailored information.
- Secure login via ID Austria and keep track of your ID Austria usage history.
- Receive official correspondence digitally.
- Digitally sign PDF documents using PDF signatures.

Digital citizen services:
- Registration, deregistration, and relocation:
   - Deregister previous primary residence and register new primary residence (also for minor children if they are registered at the same address).
   - Receive a confirmation of the registration after completion.
- Digital baby point:
   - Access a personalized checklist of all relevant steps from pregnancy to birth and beyond.
   - Obtain initial certificates for newborns (birth certificate, proof of citizenship, confirmation of registration).
- Passport:
   - Receive email reminders before the document expires.
   - Store a copy of your passport image in the eTresor.
- Central and cross-authority registration and access to online services of the administration without additional login (e.g., FinanzOnline).

- Nation-wide unified online application for postal voting.
- Document service for ordering extracts from the Central Civil Status Register.
